Auckland to Cape Reinga, New Zealand

It continued to rain lightly as we drove north from Auckland. Our first stop was at Waiwera Beach, just 35 minutes north of Auckland on the picturesque Hibiscus Coast. We didn't visit the Thermal Springs as we had see a lot of that around Rotorua. It was a quick stop but we noted a great caravan park right on the southern end of the beach as a possibility for next visit.
